WHAT MAKEUP REALLY IS?
For all the ladies, many people have different perceptions about makeup and also who should and should not wear makeup and to what extent they should go just so they can wear makeup. The most confused gender on what makeup really is and why it should even exist in the first place is definitely the male. Now this article is going to define makeup and give some insights into what it actually does and the use. As the saying goes, whatever has an advantage has got a disadvantage.
Makeup are cosmetics (colourants and substances) applied to the skin to improve appearance. It is simply used to "improve appearance" and more complicatedly, makeup can be used to change a person completely by giving some special features and also special effects that make you appear different and these are usually "fake" but appear very real except on close examination.
Alot of people especially guys are of the opinion that women do not need makeup to look beautiful and that we overdo it sometimes, and yeah what has an advantage does have a disadvantage too. Well, speaking for myself and alot of ladies out there who i am sure would agree with me, makeup is quite important to enhance our beauty, we are beautiful with or without it. I believe women that use makeup often should also make sure that when the take it all off, they do not end up looking like a different person entirely so as not to scare guys away and make them have the believe that we are hiding alot of secrets underneath our makeup. Skin care routines especially for facial skin should therefore be adopted by women who love using makeup, this could also provide a good foundation for makeup application.
Makeup shouldn't be a thing to abhor, neither should it be abused. You can either go mild, or be creative with it and that's fun. Women have the right to explore and create whatever kind of look they want on their face as long as they know exactly what they are doing it for, creativity. There are different kinds of makeup for different occasions, so before you go all out with your makeup, ensure you are not overdoing it for that event or outing so you look nice. And guys, never assume a girl is ugly underneath her makeup, it is there for a reason, and yes, makeup or no makeup, women can look beautiful!
