Title; LOST
EPISODE 1
........life is never fair
The sky was very cloudy with heavy wind
blowing. Trees were falling. Roofs were
being ripped off from houses by the angry
wind. Everybody was running helter scelter
for their lives. Mrs Anderson couldn't run
fast cos of her pregnancy. All of a sudden,
the rains came with a full force and within
the twinkling of the eye, everywhere was
flooded.
When she got to circle, the whole place was
flooded and one could not differentiate the
Odaw river from land. People were still
running cos of the fierceness of the rain and
wind. Mrs Anderson decided to cross the
Odaw bridge to the other side cos it was
safer there. Unfortunately for her, she didnt
use the right route on the bridge. She fell
from the bridge straight into the river... She
started wailing but people watched
helplessly as she was being carried away by
the strong current of the flood.
Mrs Anderson woke up from her sleep with
a scream that caught the attention of her
husband who was lying beside her. Her face
was very sweaty and she was panting for
breathe. Mr. Anderson looked at the clock
and it read 1am and was a bit disturbed by
the state he saw his wife in. He hugged her
and asked what the problem was. Her wife
still in a state of shock narrated her ordeal in
the dream to her husband. Mr. Anderson
was shaken by the dream. He prayed with
the wife and they all went back to sleep.
Mr. Anderson wasn't actually asleep. After
what happened he just looked at his
pregnant wife who seems to be at peace in
her sleep. He remembered when they met at
the university campus during their final year.
He was a medical student and his wife then
was a law student.
His wife's back ground was as poor as his
own was but through hard work and minor
jobs which fetched them their tuition fees
and other stuffs, they were able to sail
through university with first class each. Life
wasn't easy after school.
Before their marriage, they decided to work
for sometime. His wife went from firm to
firm. Because of her beauty, old men wanted
to sleep with her before given her a job but
she decided to reject those offers... Mr.
Anderson on the other hand had an
opportunity of being employed by the
government but also rejected the offer. He
decided to open his own hospital. He had
the future in mind. He didnt want to work
for government and come on retirement
with nothing. He also didnt want any of his
children suffer like his parent did to him.
He carefully laid down his plans, took steps
and some way somehow, fate smiled at him
and his hospital became a reality. A wealthy
man in his area had a son who had disease
that doctors have given up on. All the rich
man was expecting was to see his only son
die. Mr. Anderson heard the man's story and
decided to use his medical know how to
save the child. He worked day and night on
research. He finally came to a solution. He
administered the solution to the child and
told the dad to continue administering the
medicine to the child. Some months later,
the rich man saw a great improvement in
his child and decided to go for a check up at
the hospital. The doctor who had given up
on the child was very shocked at the result.
The child was completely healed.
The rich man was very happy. He went
straight to Mr. Anderson's house and asked
him what he want to achieve in life. He told
the rich man his plans. The rich man told
him not to worry cos he will sponsor
everything.
The rich man kept his word and within a
year, a state of the art private hospital was
opened and was owned by Mr Anderson.
Two years later, he married his wife and
helped her open her own law firm.
Expecting their first child was a mixture of
fear and excitement at the same time. Fear
cos his wife was going through series of
sleepless night and excitement cos that child
is the result of the fruit of their labour
together. He was a man of understanding.
He loved his wife with his heart. He prayed
and told God to see his wife through. He
looked at her till sleep took over.
